Math and Weather

So during the past few days here in Palermo it has been raining. Off and on, rain, shine, rain, shine. It has been very annoying. So today I was going out with a friend and looked outside to see how it looked, and to my surprise, not a single cloud in the sky. Of course then I happily walked out of my house in jeans and a hoodie. Later it decided rain, hard, so I headed home as fast as I could. Me, in my hoodie and jeans, fast walking almost two miles in the pouring rain. Not fun. Anyway, on to the math part. Today in school I once again had math class and was expecting to just be blown away by the weird math they have been teaching here. But nope, today we were learning about parabolas. So a week before I am leaving they decide to teach some math that I can actually understand, just my luck.

Post

The last few days have been more or less the same. I wake up, have the Italian breakfast...Really missing those eggs and bacon... after the breakfast I sit around for a while watching Italian TV and then after lunch me and Franco go and walk around Palermo, then I return home, have dinner, and go to sleep. Sunday we had a picnic with all of the exchange students in Palermo and their families. After that most of the us walked around the city, stopping to get gelato and buy the occasional item. I recently found out that Franco has been walking around with $1,900 in his wallet. He never bought anything though because none of the stores accepted dollars. He exchanged them this morning so this afternoon I will most likely be his shopping guide/helper. Should be a fun day. If you look at the picture I attached of the picnic, I am there. Just in the back...
