Final Day

It has been nearly six months since I started this exchange at the Wilmington Airport. I have had many fun times and a few not so fun times. I think all in all the experience was worth it, not for the school, not for the language, but instead just for the people I have made realtionships with. If anyone I have met within this time is in the United States, I will defintely try to meet you. As I sit in the Palermo Airport and think about the exchange, I think this was pretty sweet.

Math and Weather

So during the past few days here in Palermo it has been raining. Off and on, rain, shine, rain, shine. It has been very annoying. So today I was going out with a friend and looked outside to see how it looked, and to my surprise, not a single cloud in the sky. Of course then I happily walked out of my house in jeans and a hoodie. Later it decided rain, hard, so I headed home as fast as I could. Me, in my hoodie and jeans, fast walking almost two miles in the pouring rain. Not fun. Anyway, on to the math part. Today in school I once again had math class and was expecting to just be blown away by the weird math they have been teaching here. But nope, today we were learning about parabolas. So a week before I am leaving they decide to teach some math that I can actually understand, just my luck.

20 Days

I have 18 days until I leave Palermo. This of course makes me sad and happy at the same time. I will obviously miss the families here and all of the great friends I have made, but on the other hand I am going back to the home land. Going back to a place I know surrounded by people I know. I leave palermo in 18 days, but I do not leave Italy until two days after. I am not sure what I will be doing, but I am sure at that time I will rather be on a plane.
